E-911 Addressing

How Do I Get a 911 Address?

New addresses are assigned when new driveways are installed, or when new construction warrants the addition of electricity to an existing site.  New addresses are generally required prior to installation of electrical service to a site.

The county has no control of the data Google Maps, Garmin, Navtec, and other GPS companies, or the frequency of their updates.  If you notice errors in how your GPS locates your address, you can contact the Sheriff’s Office/Communication Center to check that the data is properly located.  Our primary concern is that in the case of an emergency, the appropriate emergency services can be dispatched and are able to locate you.
