Fireworks Permit
Any entity intending to set off certain fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Poweshiek County must obtain a permit from the Board of Supervisors. Displays within the limits of an incorporated municipality are governed by that city, and not the Board of Supervisors.
A signed application must be accompanied by:
- Evidence of operator certification
- Diagram of shoot site
- Proof of insurance
A hard copy of the signed application with all required attachments should be submitted for consideration by the Board of Supervisors at least 14 days before the anticipated display.
