Wreath Making and Other Holiday Crafts

Once again we'll be turning the Foster Center at Diamond Lake into a holiday workshop! Try your hand at a variety of holiday crafts including evergreen wreaths, ornaments made with natural materials, and upcycled cards and envelopes.

If you'd like to make a wreath there is a suggested donation of $3 to cover materials. We will provide evergreen boughs, natural seed heads, and wreath frames (8" or 14" diameter), wire, and tools (pruners, pliers etc.). If you would like to reuse an wreath frame you already have at home, you would be more than welcome to bring it. You may also bring any ribbons, bows, dried flowers, or other embellishments you might want for your wreath. Please avoid bringing lots of glitter and/or plastic!

Nature Explorers is a free program for preschoolers through 5th graders - though learners of all ages are always welcome! We will meet every other Tuesday in the Foster Center at Diamond Lake Park. The same program will be offered at 10 am and 1 pm, come to whichever works for your family's schedule. 

On December 2nd we'll be making evergreen wreaths! This is a fun program for the whole family. We'll have mini wreaths for kids, and big wreaths for grown ups, as well as a few other crafts to keep kids busy!  We'll have the Foster Center open for crafting all day, so feel free to come and go anytime during the day. 

RSVPs are not required, but if you let Amy know what time your are coming she can set up for you!
